Vanishing Balm Review

Hi! I am back with another review for you guys! This time it is the 9 Wishes Vanishing Balm. This was made famous by a Korean celebrity, Lady Jane, to achieve that natural “sseng ul” (bare face) look. I was able to get my hands on this through my cousin when she visited Korea. I don’t think it is sold on any beauty sites here in the states, BUT I found that the Lei Lani Wear White does the same exact thing. (buy HERE

This is supposed to “Naturally and instantly brightens skin” and it is “alcohol-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free, sheer, weightless and undetectable to the touch.”
And just quoting the back of the product: “This multitasking complexion enhancer brightens dull skin with an antioxidant rich hydrating base. The complex is formulated with a combination of vitamins B3, B5, C, E and botanical extracts to improve skintone, luminosity and texture, while minimizing the appearance of fine lines and pores. Provides a smooth, even, primed matte finish all day long. Achieve a more radiant, brightened complexion in seconds.”
It is convenient to use since it is in a pump form and that is just one pump of the product.
It is a nice texture and easy to smooth onto the skin.

You can already see how this product is going to work, right?

You can already see that the right side of my hand has a white cast. However, I don’t think this product smooths out pores and lines. In fact, when I wear it on my face it creases into my laugh lines, which is NOT cute.
fter the 10 minute mark it gets a little bit more natural as it settles into the skin. I have a fairly fair skintone, but I am not as pale as the Korean girls in Korea. This product seems to be targeted to people who have nice pale opaque skin who do not need coverage at all. The product does brighten up the face, like it says it does, but personally this product was not worth the hype. I understand why some Korean girls with nice skin will like it though. I don’t want to emphasize that point too much, but since this product provides no coverage, if that is what you’re looking for: this is not it.
I hope you found this review helpful!
xoxo,
Hanbeaute
